Bob,
I have a FlightDeck on my Galaxy and I find it excellent, rather expensive
originally unfortunately, but I wouldn't be without it.I especially like the
gear indicator,I know some folk don't,but I find it particularly useful.
When you set it up make sure the small plastic shims are fitted in the
hoods. If not the interface between the hoods nad cables is dodgy and will
eventually give problems.Mine is a year or two old now so they may have
found a better method.
The connecting cables need to go under the bar tape,so budget for some more
tape unless you can get it off in one piece,I never can.
Hope this helps,

I have the Campagnolo ErgoBrain, which is linked into the gear changers
and has duplicate control buttons on the hoods so that you can change
functions on the computer without taking your hands of the hoods. I
find that feature completely brilliant and well worth it. I believe
Flight Deck has a similar arrangement - if so, go for it.

Yes it does. The version I have on the tourer has two buttons, one
concealed under each hood. The buttons are fairly easy to press with the
thumbs though it's handy to remember what button does what---I never can!
Some flightdecks have two buttons under one of the hoods. Not sure what
groupsets they apply to. Mine isn't for a 105.

That's the older groupsets (more than 3[?] years old).

I really like mine. But then I've not managed to learn the gearing
inside out, so for me, the display of that is excellent. Also, it does
cadence by virtue of knowing what gear you're in, and measuring the speed.
Down side is it's sometimes fiddly to display exactly what you want, and
also not all that easy to get to stop/start automatically.
The newer model does cater for up to 4 bikes though, iirc.

I have one on my ultegra setup it's really good as far as it goes BUT
very annoyingly mine loses it's data when I stop cycling ????
This is hugely annoying as I'd like to enter the data into a spreadsheet
like I can with my Sigma Sport BC1200 from my MTB.
When I am in motion it keeps a perfect record of everything and I can
cycle the functions but when I remove it from the bike after the ride or
even leave it on and try and recover the info it has no record of the
data, The instructions with it are somewhat sparse.
Not sure why it immediately forgets the info - can anyone else shed any
light on this ?
