  1. Ok, here's what I think I want to do. I've currently got 8-speed RSX triple setup, and I want to
swap out the brifters and deraileur with Campy Centaur 9-speed, the cassette with Ultegra 9-speed,
and get a 9-speed chain. That's all I need to do, right?

Also, is the just one model of Centaur brifters and deraileur, or are there different 9 & 10
    speed models?

And just out of curiosity, is the Campy 10 speed compatible with the upcoming Shimano 10 speed
cassettes? Are the Shimano 10 speed cassettes compatible with my RSX 8 speed hub?

    Thanks,

    - mark

Yes except the cassette won't be correctly spaced. Some users tolerate the error. See

    Two different versions.

Yep, all you need is the Campagnolo ERGOO shifters, and rear der...shimano 9s cogset and
    chain-go ride-

Also, you can do this with 9s OR 10s ERGO, either will work with 9s shimano-

geez, the difference is way less than 2mm, complete cogset and spacers..This works just fine,
    nothing to 'tolerate'.

I can see it: some little Italian frame builder at the dawn of time in his shop looking for the

find is one of them. Hmmm, this bike's gotta get out, so let's use it on both sides and make
    it work...

    Stranger things have happened!

What would be the difference in riding a bike with a 9cm stem and a handlebar with a 100 reach,
vs a 11cm stem and a handlebar with a 80 reach? All other parameters (bend, drop, width, etc.
    the same).

Should be no difference on the hoods or drops, but if you ride on the tops of the bars at all, that
reach will not be the same.
