Look for the little road that is near Mousthwaite Comb, where it says
sheepfold on the 1:25000 map is parking for at least 4 cars. Or you can park
on the layby near to Scales on the main road.

On the A66 there's about 5 to 6 spaces in the layby at Scales on the
eastward lane, and about 8 spaces on the westward lane. There's more
parking on the road past the pub on a narrow road leading to Mungrisedale.
Go early (ie. before 09:00am).Threlkeld also has a few more spaces.

There is a public carpark behind the village hall in Threlkeld. There
