7 dismounts in 380 yards. They cannot be SERIOUS!

That has to be one of the best/worst for ages. If you
look there is an eighth sign just down the hill a bit.

Still at least it reminds cyclist to get off their bikes
when they get home at night.

How lovely! I think I read somewhere that mounting and dismounting add a
delay and effort of the equivalent of cycling 100 metres.

This means this difficility has effectively trebled the effort needed
to use it, rather than the road.

Wow! It takes some considerable stupidity to do something as stupid
as that. Jesus! I don't know what to say.

I think there are 14 cyclist dismount signs - 1 facing the opposite
way for every one facing the camera.

There is one in Rochford, Essex, that has giveway lines on the cycle
side of the shared path at every house exit ramp. Unless it has
changed, I've not been down there recently, there are/were 20 or so
giveways in a couple of hundred yards.

I always wonder what goes through the "planners" minds when they come up
with something like this. Is it "Well, that's a good job sensibly done"
or is it "uuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh, duh, er, what's on telly tonight?" I
mean, how can anyone with a shred of common sense not see what a farce
    they've created?

In addition to all those signs, I notice that the ramp at each
dismount/[implied] remount point only covers the middle 1/3-or-so,
thus rendering the edge of the path more-or-less useless. (That's
even more useless than the path generally, but you know what I mean).

That's just in that stretch, the full monty is about a mile and a half long
and contains at least 25 pairs of signs (I lost count). 'tis the A414,
which runs right past mine office...

Bloody cyclists, always on the road, in my way, when there's a VERY
    EXPENSIVE, LOVELY CYCLEPATH just there....

    So ungrateful!

Fortunately my cycling route goes the other way, where I /do/ use the far
end of this path for the drag up the hill towards Harlow town centre. The
only time I cycle on the road next to this farcility is when I have to take
    my motorcar to the doctors...

well it certinaly is a cracker. in a sain world perhaps a simple sign at
the start that said "play nice with peds". would surface, as when the
law/signs are a ass people not unsuprsingly ingnore it.
