My buddy Rick (Garrison's dad) finished his coast to coast ride on a fixie to raise money and awareness for cancer research. We're throwing him a party tonight. This makes his sub 9 hour Leadville 100 on single speed seems like just another ride (for him, not me!).
Total mileage for the Big Fix: 3,480 miles, with 135,000 feet of vertical gain ridden in 28 days.
Apparently Sheldon Brown (and his wife) and a bunch of bike messengers from Boston rode the last stretch with them. Cool!

That's really cool! He deserves some press for that especially because Lance chickened out on his annual Tour of Hope this year.

Awesome, what's you're guess on how many pedal revolutions that took?

If you know the gear ratio, you don't need to guess.

distance / wheel circumference X ratio ?
I'll ask him if I think of it. We were too busy listening to crazy stories and drinking beer and tequila to get into the math last night!
