What kind of oven is it? Mine is a Tappan -- you have to turn the "selector" knob from "clean" back to "off" (or "bake"😉 before the door will unlock...

Either there is a manual lock/unlock bar/lever you need to turn or call a repairman.

Same thing happend to my GE oven. The switch that unlocks the oven had gone out. There should be a way to manually unlock the oven from the back of the oven.

Mine is a Maytag. When I first got it there was an electrical wiring problem that caused it to lock up when there was pressure on the front right burner. The dealer replaced the appliance and I had the same problem with the replacement. When they came out to service the second one they identified the problem and fixed it.

There are two types I have seen. Some have a manual lock that will not release until the oven is cool enough. The other type is an electronic clock that will release when the oven is cool enough. I assume you have the latter.
Check the owner's manual and see if there is something you have to do. Turn a knob to a specific position, push some weird button combination on the display, etc. If you have done what the manual says it might be broken. If you cannot find the manual, go to the company's web site and see if they have the manual online or a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions). The FAQ might help you.
Final option, call a repairman.
