Seeking Disc-ready road fork

Bikeman sells a cheap ($55) steel cyclocross fork with disk mounts. It's OK, has clearance for big
tires, but the weight on their website is wrong, it's over 800g. They have 1" or 1 1/8" threadless.

Dimension makes a pretty cheap CrMo fork - not sure what the weight is, but I'm sure it's "plenty".
The good news is it should sell for $50-60.

Winwood makes a carbon fiber 'cross fork that's disc-ready, but it also has canti studs. You could
screw out the studs and it wouldn't look too odd I suppose. It's a lot lighter (listed weight 690g),
but more expensive (probably $250 most places).

customers complained to me about a disc wheel popping out, JRA or otherwise? Zero. How many $300,

Just a minor point: road forks average 370mm race/axle and cross forks range 380 -410mm. If height
is not a problem, the slacker HT angle actually fits the larger offset of cross forks. Tom

Get new brake pads if your brakes don't work well in the rain. Kool stop salmons work well.

Van Dessel sells a bike with a disk brake fork. Check with them to see if they will sell you just
the fork alone. The only potential problem is that the fork has a very basic suspension built in,
which you may or may not want. It is also 1 1/8.
