Leontien Zijlaard-Van Moorsel took the bronze to make her the most medalled
    Olympic cyclist of all time.

Who is second most medalled Olympic cyclist of all time after LZ? I was
browsing some olympic sites for records, maybe a better one for olympic
cycling records like hall of fame, but I need a pointer.

    thanks,

    B-

Interesting pages, but there are some years missing there hey, so who is
second? My guess needs to be confirmed.

    thanks Davey.

Nope - nothing missing - that is every Follies there ever was.

There in fact were missing years during the imperialist wars and right after
the inception when they couldn't get their sh!t together.

I may analyze the data later when I get the Velodromes finished and add the
World and Olympic records but it will be a while as moving the site isn't
quite as simple as I thought. The free host keeps rewriting my code which is a
drag, and the final result is full of errors so that W3C validation is
impossible although the page layout is acceptable to the viewer in all the
browsers I have tested so far.

Technically the major problem is that I can't use relative positioning for my
page layout (I have to leave space for the spam, right?) because Internet
Exploiter can only handle absolute positioning correctly and developing the
style sheets is difficult. Not that I really care about Internet Exploiter,
but if it can be accommodated without writing Micro$oft specific code why not?

Trouble is that I have to rely on third party testing for IE as it won't run
on my system, and wouldn't be installed even if it would.

I had to switch the hit counter too. That free NedStat thinggy looks great but
in the free version at least, is totally useless as (a) it won't allow IP blocks
    - it counts every time a test is run - and you can't block [censored] with it;
    (b) it won't allow a revisit delay so counts a hit every time a punter flips a
page. and (c) is visible on the pages and is sometimes very slow to load and
often holds up the page display.

But at least I got 100 free MB on a reasonably fast server with reasonable non
[censored] (so far) spam thrown up.

Why not shell out some bucks for a host? We know about free hosts, don't we?
I don't always rely on W3C validation, in fact I stopped using them. I
haven't been keeping up with WD3 lately. I still using transitional, as I
haven't even updated all the source code yet. Too busy doing other things.
Probably be better off not using ISO or UTF-8. Most older browsers can't
understand such hairy stuff. If you use nothing by default the server will
determine it, so probably depending on your target it might be better not to
use that stuff, but I use transitional with iso-8859-1.

    not?

I was reading some articles about M$ IE and about the intergration problem
which is the crux of the matter concerning the constant patching that goes
on. I understand the XP service pack that just came out did little to really
fix things, and wasn't a patch for other versions, not helpful. At the same
time, the article was expounding in the virtues of Linux. I haven't had any
attacks, worms, viruses, trojans in years from the Internet using Windows
when I started using Linux box for the gateway. The connection sharing and
the Firewall works excellent, so I can save resources on the Windows box by
not having to waste time with Norton and the like. Nice to use the destop
without all the war filters. Leave that to Linux. I was looking at Mandrake
Discovery last night. Looks likes they setup a installer online for the
image if you got the bandwidth, cool!

I had a 10-100 card go out, I couldn't really narrow it down on the network
until I validated a 568-B I replaced, and then used ipconfig, and ping to
pin point it. Netstat didn't help since all adapters weren't available.
Winipcfg was a nice tool on 98. Before that after testing everything I
thought there was a problem with the bus on one of the systems, but without
nice tools, it was hard to say until got down to some serious testing.
Network Inspector and some of the tools are cool and Cisco has some nice
tools if you got gobs of cash. My Cisco buddies have some nice meters and
testing equipment that they use at the college. Those are cool tools. You
can pinpoint the exact point where a short of a break is in a cable. That's
nice when there are hundreds of runs like in the lab. As for blocking IP's,
I use htaccess but I have noticed it doesn't always work, but most of the
time it does. I think I just need to sort the list.

Ok, I think I know why you are shouting. I am not a huge Lance fan but I do
agree with some about Lance. That is, it's possible that just maybe he is
winning the TDF without using drugs because he trains harder and has
superior lungs, heart, genes. Just maybe this is true. Maybe since cancer he
loves cycling so much that he is just super devoted and loves to ride more

That was totally unnecessary and faintly revolting.

    Share your opinion about Lance?

I think he's one of the biggest [censored] in the sport of cycling, and I
simply can't bring myself to like him. And I believe he can be safely
ignored.. there is more than enough excitement in the sport without him.
Oh, and his 6th has no meaning to me...

    -Sonarrat.

Do you think he uses drugs, and I am not baiting you for an argument.

I think Daniel Morelon (three golds, one silver, one bronze), but I

    What about Marcus Hurley?

Marcus Hurley won five medals in 1904, but since cycling wasn't an offcial
Olympic sport yet, he doesn't count.

    Benjo Maso

    Thanks, :-)

And also rather embarrassing, since JFT was so obviously trolling.
