  1. I've been thinking about the OE full mesh seat.

    http://www.organicengines.com/Accessories/index.htm

Over the years I have tried various seats, and I remember which worked better than others, but I don't remember their dimensions. How wide are the following seats: lightning P-38, Rotator (both normal and plus 2), and Vision?

    Thanks,
    John Riley

  2. Rotator is 16" and 18" measured to the center of the tubing Speedy

  3. the OE seat, is the finest full mesh seat i've used, and i've used them all. Nice gentle lumbar,
tensional with straps mesh, and down turned ends at the seat base to facilitate getting the legs
down. I do like rotator's seat also, but i'm not a big fan of the lace up system, it works well, but
    is a little more troublesome.

My concern is that the OE seat might be a bit narrow for me. I think it is about 16-1/2" wide. Of the two Rotator seats, the wider one seemed to be better for me. I have also successfully used an old full mesh Vision seat - I think that was about 18" wide too. The P-38 seat seemed a bit narrow for me.

If that is the seat used on the Triclops, I wouldn't buy it. I found the seat to be uncomfortable. But opinions vary.

  6. John, I bought that old vision seat you had from Carey Chen, the OE seat is as wide or wider, and
MUCH nicer. Again, I'm not knocking the rotator seat, it's a great seat. OE is my favorite, and my
rear, is probably quite a bit wider than yours :-)

  7. The Vision seat measures 17". Keep in mind that least 1.5" are taken up by unpadded tubing on
    each side.
