Those bikes are only worth what recyclers will pay! And you want $150? Try CL I'm sure eventually you'll find a sucker there to pay $150...maybe. I paid $100 for 84 Fuji Club that is heads and tails a far better bike then the Schwinn Conti. I see those Conti's going for $50 to $75 if in excellent condition, you're way over market.

I can understand what you're saying. I don't agree with your statement of me asking over the market. For the last 2 years I have been mainly fixing and selling Varsity's, World's and Continentals. All have gone for around $150. I'm asking what the "market" out here has been paying.

Not really ethical or appropriate to comment on another member's asking price. If you don't like the price move on.

I'm not against you making a profit, but your profit making proves there is a fool born every minute!! By the way, here in Fort Wayne Indiana those Schwinn's sell for less the $100, typically $25 to $75. I still wouldn't buy one at those prices, in fact I wouldn't want one for free due to the hassle and waste of gas I would have to go through to get it the dump!!! I was alive and riding bicycles when those bikes hit the market, they were extremely heavy, unsafe due to steel rims reaction to braking when wet, and unreliable bikes when new!

Froze, Why are you so miserable? I can't believe you are so pathetic that you need to insult someone listing a bike for more than you think it's worth. Really, haven't you got better things to do with your life? Frankly, I doubt it. He'll get that price because in real cities, real people appreciate real bikes that are well built AND made in the USA. Many Schwinns were made in Chicago, IL. We don't care for cheap, Asian built bikes made with cheap metals and toxic paints. It's really just the principal of the matter we care about. We don't buy Chinese [censored]. We live in major cities so we can afford to make responsible choices. Unlike a moron such as yourself, who would senselessly throw a quality bike into a dump when it could be sold or recycled. I guess that says everything about your character. Not only are you miserable about life in general, you're uncreative and wasteful. Yikes! Do us all a favor and remove yourself from the Internet. And, go get some counseling for depression.
