  1. Is this a workable combination? AFAIK the B&M 6 has no voltage-limiting
circuitry (the S6 does, but is £80 more) and relies on circuitry in the
lamp instead. The B&M lamps have this feature but the E6 doesn't.

So will I blow bulbs at 50mph with an E6?

Dunno about the question, but the S6 is cheaper than that if you
    mail-order from Germany...

    You're misinformed: the E6 doesn't have a Zehner diode, but has a
    sophisticated electronic voltage limiter instead.

No, and get a E6 OS (ohne Schalter, without switch) and save some
    money.

Which was in response to me saying a S6 dynamo was cheaper bought from
Germany than bought in the UK, but the formatting was scrambled even
    by cyclingforums standards....

    Anyway - I used www.bicycles.de. They currently list the S6 for 90
euros. They used to have pages in English, but they seem to have
    disapeared.

I was going to, but the cheapest I could find the OS version was £55
including postage. The CTC shop do the switched one for £60 with free
postage, and I might get a SON hub at some point so...
