Scary NSV!

I had a lovely (but scary!) NSV today... A lady I know who sells Weekender's clothes was having a sale morning at home, to which she invited me. Very nice! I need a few more clothes that fit (everything is getting a bit baggy!), so I tried a few things one... Got TWO pairs of trousers, both size Medium, and ordered a SMALL top! YIKES!! The trousers I'm wearing are LARGE! Now, the Medium trousers are a tad neat fitting, but I'd be out of the large in no time if I bought them! I don't buy many clothes, as I make anything 'posh frock' or tailored, but to be able to buy normal sized casuals is waaaay good! I had a lovely (but scary!) NSV today...
A lady I know who sells Weekender's clothes was having a sale morning at home, to which she invited
me. Very nice! I need a few more clothes that fit (everything is getting a bit baggy!), so I tried a
few things one... Got TWO pairs of trousers, both size Medium, and ordered a SMALL top! YIKES!! The
trousers I'm wearing are LARGE! Now, the Medium trousers are a tad neat fitting, but I'd be out of
the large in no time if I bought them!
I don't buy many clothes, as I make anything 'posh frock' or tailored, but to be able to buy normal
sized casuals is waaaay good! Even if the scales are mean this week, I'll still be happy!

Aren't those Weekenders clothes nice? I'm going to wait until I lose some more weight before
I buy any.

Discovering that you've shrunk down a clothing size or two does indeed compensate for a
disappointing WI. Congratulations! I'm missing the scary part of this victory...

They do some nice big sizes now - call them the Simply Great collection, which fit up to a 53" bust,
and look good on chubbier ladies. However, if you are still on the downward trend, you don't want to
be paying full price for them! OK, they ARE good (I bought my first pair of their trousers when
James was a baby, and only binned them just before Christmas - 9 years later! And barely a week has
gone by in that time when I didn't wear them!), BUT there should be some good sales stuff available
this spring, as they are changing the classic collection as well as the fashion collection for the
spring/summer season! Contact your local lady and see what she's offering!
My trousers were about 30% off, and the top had a discount too, so I saved a decent wad!

I ceased to understand 'small' as a clothing size about 20 years ago... 😉 And not only are all the
fashions returning to my teen years in the 70's, but so it my clothing size! I think I'm scared of
being a teenager again! It was bad enough at 17 - at 47 it would be a nightmare!
I'll do a picture or two when I get the things (end of the month!).

Yeah, but I want them to fit for awhile. Don't want to buy something that's going to be baggy soon.
You see, I have great plans to lose more!! Hope my great plans work! ;-()
The local rep called me and told me I had won a gift certificate and then never sent it!!

Nah, it's really kind of fun. <g> Going through those teen things again, at our age, is different.
We now can do that goofy stuff, yet are at the age we really don't care what anyone else thinks. My
daughter has been amazed at me on occassion, says she just can't believe some of the goofy things I
have done - and got away with. The peer pressure issue is totally removed. LOL

My new trousers are a tad tight - not grossly so, nor unsightly, just a neater fit than I usually go
for. I reckon if they fit a year, that will be fine, as the ones I have shrunk out of are starting
to look a bit ridiculous!
