Hi all,
Last Sunday my trusty Berghaus boots decided to part company with one
sole about 1.5 km out of Buttermere on our way up towards Scale Force
and Red Pike. Very annoyed as I'd been looking forward to the walk,
but better it happening then than half way round, I suppose.
Anyway, I've decided on a 2-boot strategy as my Berghauses were a bit
too heavy and hot for summer/lighter walking really. So I'm after a
pair of decent fabric boots for now, and will probably be getting some
heavier boots later on in the year.
Finally getting around to the main point of this post, I tried on some
Scarpa ZG65 Gore-Tex boots in Keswick on Sunday afternoon, and they
felt fabulous. Very light, very comfortable. So I wondered if
anybody had experience of using these boots at all? Any information
on their durability, breathability, or anything else would be
gratefully appreciated.
More longer term, I have to say I fancy a pair of Scarpa SL M3s for my
winter boots. Anything people have to say about these would also meet
with eager ears!
Ta in advance,
Jim
