Gee, it sounds like annual leave for 3 weeks every July for next 5 years.
And a virtual timezone change too.

I really hope to see some Giro and Vuelta while they are at it. And
Paris-Roubaix etc. PLEASE?!

6. Guys are you certain about this? I have not found anything about it on the SBS homepage?

7. If it is truly live 'nationwide' it would be good for Perth viewers but I
think we will have a delayed telecast as usual.

RAI through Foxtel already has awesome live coverage of the Giro d'Italia
stages every year.

It's certain. The head of SBS was on Toyota World Sport tonight talking
about it.

From this:
SBS head of sport Les Murray explained to Cyclingnews that the broadcaster has decided to ramp up its coverage for a number of reasons. ...

ASO also organizes several other major races, including Paris-Roubaix and Paris-Nice, and the deal includes the rights to screen those races live too. However, at the moment SBS intends to show those events on a delayed basis. "Live access is available if we want to do it," said [Les] Murray. "It depends on the programmers, my colleagues at SBS who sit in judgment of program scheduling. If they want to schedule it live we can do that."
I suggest a note of encouragement and support to Mr Murray wouldn't be out of place. It might just give him a little support to sway his collegues...
