flyingdutchGee, it sounds like annual leave for 3 weeks every July for next 5 years.
And a virtual timezone change too.I really hope to see some Giro and Vuelta while they are at it. And
Paris-Roubaix etc. PLEASE?! -
Guys are you certain about this? I have not found anything about it on the SBS homepage?
-
If it is truly live 'nationwide' it would be good for Perth viewers but I
think we will have a delayed telecast as usual.RAI through Foxtel already has awesome live coverage of the Giro d'Italia
stages every year. -

From this:
SBS head of sport Les Murray explained to Cyclingnews that the broadcaster has decided to ramp up its coverage for a number of reasons. ...
ASO also organizes several other major races, including Paris-Roubaix and Paris-Nice, and the deal includes the rights to screen those races live too. However, at the moment SBS intends to show those events on a delayed basis. "Live access is available if we want to do it," said [Les] Murray. "It depends on the programmers, my colleagues at SBS who sit in judgment of program scheduling. If they want to schedule it live we can do that."
I suggest a note of encouragement and support to Mr Murray wouldn't be out of place. It might just give him a little support to sway his collegues...
