Does anybody recommend using this when building a wheel or
replacing spokes ?
"Sapim Nipple Freeze Compound Thread locking compound which
helps prevent spokes vibrating loose. The thread lock also
seals the spoke/nipple interface and protects against
corrosion which could otherwise chemically weld the nipples
and spokes together."
not really necessary on ordinary spokes. primary application
is on straight-pull's.

Oil is the best for the threads and the nipple to rim interface.
If you follow all the best practices nipples won't vibrate loose or chemically weld nipples and spokes together.

Not necessary if you are doing the job right. All you need
is a drop of oil on the threads and where the nipple
contacts the rim.
