A buddy of mine just moved from NYC for a permanent working vacation in Santa Fe. He's looking for a good wrench for his current bikes, and he's looking into buying an mtb for some x-country trail riding. Any strong feelings for a shop in the area? /s

A buddy of mine just moved from NYC for a permanent working vacation in
Santa Fe. He's looking for a good wrench for his current bikes, and
he's looking into buying an mtb for some x-country trail riding.
Any strong feelings for a shop in the area?

Rob and Charlie's or NM Bike and Sport. Rob and Charlie's has a rep for
the "hip" crowd.
Thumbs up from me on Rob and Charlie's. They've come through for me on
a couple of hard to find items the past couple of weeks. Nice shop.
First the Sugino 75s (magnificent cranks, BTW) and now this. What would
you do without me, Gordo?

unnecessary fear that my cranks are going to pop off next time I have
to do some hard skid braking. Now I can plow through tourists on the
Brooklyn Bridge without concern.

trails that have been around for decades.
And although Rob and Charlie's is popular with the hip crowd, it should

tourons, politicos and new age artists.
