Was speaking to Mike Reynolds MP Labor member for Townsville outside his office for 5 minutes yesterday on cycling issues . He is very aware of the local issues as I keep on reminding him. He understands the different needs of path/road cyclists so we are a long way in front there.
As you say Peter we need to ask. LOTS of people are asking about Health (which is miles better than most states) and water. Its the old saying about squeaky wheels.
I am seeing more inexperienced older riders on beat up bikes now as fuel and repair costs start to bite. More kids riding bikes to "things" instead of mums taxi.
suggestion. if pitching specific projects concentrate on the marginal seats where the incumbent is a Beattie-boy/goirl. Pork barrelling only works in 'your own pen' 😄
