    So eat some. ;-)

I find that getting enough salt on this diet isn't a problem at all.
If anything, I need to make sure I don't get too much.

Cheese has a lot of salt in it.

I don't know how I would even know.

Wouldn't that require fancy blood tests ordered by an endocrinologist?

It doesn't have to. It could involve some salivary samples taken at
various times of day and night.

For me, blood pressure, fasting glucose are indicators, too. How alert
and energetic you feel when you wake, how easily fatiguable, how
allergic or achey of inflamed by various conditions can all be signals.

    Hi Cubit,

Pork rinds, either regular, hot or BBQ will work. Or, Wal-Mart has
been having a deal on mixed nuts, a 17 oz can for $4. There are 3 net
carbs in a 1/4 oz. That is actually a lot of nuts. I keep a can on my
desk and grab a few whenever the salty snack urge bugs me. Otherwise,
it's the boring old porkies. I like the hot ones, but even that wears
thin, so I alternate. John said he likes the soy crisps. I've been
looking for them, but we don't seem to have them here in the MO Ozarks.

Salt isn't fat. Water retention caused by excess salt
isn't fat. So my opinion is avoiding salt is unnecessary
effort unless you have high blood pressure. Low
carbers almost always see high blood pressure drop
away as they progress. You've progressed into low
    carb.

So my response is to eat salty stuff until the want
drops. Humans have a metabolic need for salt and an
ability to ejects vast amounts of excess salt. While
most restaurant food has more than enough eating at
home it's easy to forget to add salt.
