I came across a saddle with no centre horn whilst browsing on Ebay. It's the damndest looking thing. I could see it working for a hybrid with a very upright riding position but somehow I can't see Lance rushing off to order one.

A: Top-posters. B: What is the most annoying thing on Usenet?
they been around in europe for quite a few years but funnily enough never took off, according to the 'Cycleopeadia' catalogue (wonderful yearly issue of everything new/wierd)
seen a lumpier version that looks more like a Wassily(?) chair too
and just what do you refer to when you say 'horn' on a saddle? sounds nastee...

I have a friend who saws the horns off all his saddles, and covers them over with duct tape.
I guess for him it works.
Better than the Easy Seat! I tried one of those (few bucks at a yard sale, I'm not nuts) a few years ago. No matter how I adjusted it the best I could come up with was an orientation that drove the points directly into the muscle/ligament/thingy where the butt meets the leg whenever I exerted more than light pressure. Everything else was much worse. I thought of sawing off the points but figured it was (ha!) pointless.

Try riding one for a while and you will see they are not as comfortable as you first imagine it to be. --------------- Alex
