They're the primo hot dog from street vendors in cities where people have
good taste, like NY. Not here in Rochester, unfortunately. Here, they sell
Zweigle's. Gag....

Coincidentally, I went to Ben's Best (mnetioned in the article) today
(to try their pastrami, which was moist, tender, and not as spicy as
I'd have liked). While I was walking there and talking on my cell
phone my friend mentioned that BB hot dogs were mentioned in the Times
and asked me to pick up a couple. I did, plus one for myself. It was
fine (skinless), but too garlicky for a hot dog.

I used to get them at Pathmark Stupidmarkets on Lung Guyland. Boar's
Head hot dogs are good too.

Interesting article... I prefer my hot dogs with kraut and home made
brown deli mustard, I really don't like anything else on a dog, most
especially NOT ketchup, BLECH! Years ago, well before the NYS Thruway
was even a dream, I would stop for great hot dogs at NY's Route 17 Red

In Noo Yawk Cidy, Sabret... although in NYC it's extremely rare that a
hot dog is ever refered to by brand name, it's dawg or frank, as in
gimme.

Who cares. As long as I can find it in a street vendor's cart and get
mustard and 'kraut on it, it's great!

though. Dunno if there's one of those on (as my aunt in Jersey used to say
it, Loowong Guylynd -- only she could present it as a Chinese/Netherlands
combo).

It's been ages since I traveled Route 17. Don't remember if that place is
still in business or not. There's one way for you to find out, Sheldon!

I like both types, but the natural casing Sabretts are sometimes hard to
find in my area. How do I pronounce them? I usually don't, but I guess I
would say "sabb" "bret". If the OP is really curious about to say the
name of this hot dog, he or she should just call the company to ask.

If it is the skinless one, I suggest: "borrrrring!" About as much taste
