We sell they're rear flashing light but haven't seen their front high
intensity LED but Addersport do some great front LED that last an age & pump
out a pretty good light, they're latest 'torpedo' light even fits a 31.8 bar

Editorial:
Looks to me like "S-sun lights" are a great idea, cleverly engineered
and very well made, that *almost*, but sorry, don't quite make full use
of the possibilities of super-bright white and red LEDs.
The red rear lights shoot out a very narrow but high intensity beam for
3 x AAA 1.5 volt batteries and also light up the outer lens casing 180
degrees fairly well.
The front lights shoot out a recognisably white (tho peaking in the
green-blue visible spectrum) very narrow but high intensity beam. The
outer lens casing also glows white/blue-green for 180 degrees.
Problems:
- the hot beam is very narrow. This is ok for the front light if it is
used as a helmet light, but [censored] if the "S-sun lights" are used for
anything else. Hint to the s-sun.com.tw engineers: ypu rawk, but your
light would be so much more fine if they made the lens spread about 110
degrees or so.
- 3 x aaa batteries (= 4.5 volts) is not really a user-friendly combo.
How about 2 x a's or 4 x aaa's? 6v is the cyclists' friend, and so on.

Also, at the shop, we've had more of these lights come back with circuitry problems than any other we sell. Smart Polaris 3 led lights seem to be the most reliable.

The Trek 1 led rear light is the best I've seen for a while - beam spread, intensity, etc.

My S-Sun is still going. 3 or 4 sets of AAA's so far.

Mfhor, mate, can you be more specific about the probs with S-sun lights?
I've never had any problems with their circuitry. They seem to have
very simple electronics, a non-complex steady/flash/off circuit-board.
Hey, but what do I know, (amongst other excuses) I (amongst other
majors) majored in Philosophy... ;-)

Point taken about Smart Polaris and Trek 1 LED lights. I'm interested
(as many aus.bicycle prolly are) to hear your LBS comments and
recommendations for other front and rear high intensity LED lights. Can
you give more details?
