You could all watch "Running on the Sun", the documentary video about
the running of the Badwater ultramarathon - a 135 mile race with
13,000 feet of elevation gain where ambient temps reach around 130F.
Five miles in a hundred and four degrees gotta seem easier after that.

Really, over 100F is no joke. I love the heat and summer running but
it's hard to fault anyone for not wanting to run in triple digit
temps, even if that comes with single digit humidity.

Its incredibly hot here too in India and humid where I am.

We have a choice : in the morning its relatively cooler but more humid
than in the evening. I prefer the morning cool over the evening heat
albeit less humidity.

I carry a small bottle with me to splash water and limit my runs to 1
hr max.

I recently measured my weight loss after a 30 min run in the evening -
it was about 1.2 %. In such a scenario, I prefer to be cautious to
avoid heat injury.

My favorite temperature is around 80F, and it's still enjoyable up until
around 85F. You'll still sweat, but your energy and nutrients won't be
zapped to hell by it.

Most of the arctic is a desert. But listen, in general if
you find someone's posts to be pretty consistently worthless
it seems odd to me to continue to read them. If your

He was remarking about HEAT, and the desert happened to be where HE was

ridiculous point as if that's what Robrriv's intended to say. It's a

Sometimes it's like looking at a train wreck. You just want to see just

mocking him too much to killfile him. It amazes me how a person deals
with his limitations, and how tireless he is in showing it off to
others. One guy who seemed to like him so much, he made damned sure I
didn't ignore him, said in another post to the newsgroup nitwit that he

posters who lack the restraint to avoid getting into fights with the
trolls, perhaps they are essential.

But it's even better if one can simply get past getting angry or
frustrated with them. I find myself not really needing killfiles
for the most part. I only read troll posts when I need some silly
entertainment, and generally don't reply to them.

I don't think there's any way (e.g. ignoring them per the "conventional

changed how he was using the ellipsis. It's something I mocked him
about a couple of times. That means he didn't like someone mocking him
