I dont listen to music WHILE I run but I do like to listen to music BEFORE I run. I found that some songs help me set a brisk pace and others hold me back and even kill the mood to pickup my heels and run.
My question:
Which songs (please be specific with titles, artist) help you with your running? Get you in that mood or help you set a pace.
sanctuary by the cult is the song i listen to loudly before my marathons, and half marathons. i have around 17 different versions of it, so i change as i feel the need.

If you are looking for a feeling of raw power, try Sun King by The Cult before your run.
"'I've got you under my wheels" by Alice Cooper is nice. Of course, that's more of a song you'd listen to, while chasing joggers in your pick up truck......................so I hear.

Not that it really matters, but the song is called "She Sells Sanctuary".
