That's great, I've heard some good things about the NOMADS...
I'm from the UK so I grew up playing Footy...but had to quit unfortunately due to a back injury...too much impact and twisting etc..you know the score...
Anyway, I started getting fat and Lazy, so re-started Cycling again 3 years ago and absolutely love it...it's also done wonders for my back!! Seems cranking really builds up the glutes, lower back muscles etc..and no impact on the old spine etc...
So you started 3 weeks ago? Fantastic!! as I said before, get your Bike set up right and just crank out plenty of base miles...at first 12 miles would kill me, now, although I'm not Lance by any means, a Century isn't a problem and I climbed Mount Haleakala in Maui last month, 36 miles and 10,023 ft.
So it can be done....plus I'm an old 50 year old fart now...but thanks to riding I feel 25 again (A 25 year old that's been run over by a Steam Roller sometimes). But yeah, Cycling is brilliant for helping back pain...depending on what causes it of course...
Keep up the good work mate!!

I started cycling about 3 weeks ago and it was a bit strange to be in extremly good shape but still feel some pain at first. It's not so bad anymore but you will be suprised what you don't use running.
