That would be so sweet! I'm sure if that happened they'd limit all the
important races to Pro-Tour teams only. This whole thing is a [censored]
reaction to jingoism that makes the US look sad in the TDF. Fourth rate
French teams got the nod due to politices over second rate teams from
other countries, but Fance isn't exactly noted for humility, or
reality.
From a country that's failed miserably everywhere since Napoleon the
arrogance is a joke.

I agree - let's see Rujano's TT time on Friday before we all jump on
his bandwagon. The dude can climb though, no question.

DiLuca will put some time into him in the TT, but Saturday's mt. stage
will be a bear and DiLuca will probably have to turn himself inside out
to preserve his lead. That's assuming Rujano doesn't have a meltdown
himself, having done alot of work already and being a young guy.

I've been waiting for DiLuca to have a monumental collapse, but perhaps
he can hang on until the end. I'm not sure who I'm rooting for, DiLuca
or Rujano. Either would suit me fine. Both have been fabulous.

Saturday's stage will have Savoldelli and Di Luca both trying to hold on to
a 3 minute lead for their podium spots versus Simoni and Rujano, so I can
see Di Luca and Savoldelli working together on Saturday for as long as Di
Luca can hang with Paolo. Rujano and Simoni together, at least until Rujano
has clinched third overall, at which point he may have a go at moving up,
and winning the stage if no one else is up the road (like Basso).

Wow. After the TT results, Sat's stage is going to be beautiful. I'm
surprised DiLuca only put a few seconds into Rujano even though the
later had proven to be a good TTer at Langkawi. Over the last few stages
I can almost feel the life force being sucked out of DiLuca. Ouch. I
still may be right that he will completely implode (not that I want it

in the Giro in previous years as Simoni's domestique! ' Just in case you
had not noticed...!

I think it is just fair at least he gets mentioned considering he is only 13
seconds from the podium, Today had a great TT (for someone his type) cuting
time on Di Luca , Rujano and Simoni.

Yes, for sure. At least 5 fighting for 3 podium spots. Three Italians, a
Venezuelan, and a Spaniard. Throw in another strong (the strongest)
Italian who has no hope on GC but who will certainly figure in the stage
and possibly in how the GC turns out. Mix well with a couple of Slavic
sorta contenders and its going to be lots of fun.
