Actually I did drop in (to replace an Easton carbon handlebar that developed some disturbing
cracks), and quite frankly, was appalled at the unprofessionalism/retail cluelessness of one
Operations Manager, who goes by Norm according to his name tag...I did manage to get a some XTR cranks/BB for $299 though due to a pricing error so Norm's lack of
attention to the important stuff (customers) wasn't a big deal.Maybe next year when you're healed up.

I thought that vidseo looked familiar. I noticed some Freakish looking dude in the photos who wasn't
in the video and now I get it (takes a minute sometimes). Looked very nice there. The temp here just
hit 4, but I have hope it might hit 10 during the "heat of the day".Matt

Ahh that's too bad, I wonder if I was working that day... I could have hooked you up. =) Yeah, the
cranks we were selling for a long time at $299, but in '04 the prices went back up, I'm glad you
were able to get a set at the reduced price.Well, I have a year to heal up and get back in shape I'd like to tag along next time the NG

I'm replacing them with Maxims (which are being made by the folks that used to do the Eastons but
using a better proccess (isogrid). -

That really sucks and is a shame. Easton's good name is going to get a bad rep.

keep an eye on.(mine are a couple-few years old now, so they're still the made in the USA version)

It was a while ago when I had mine, but I remember the facture being not where I expected it. Mine
was located between the stem clamping area and before the first bend, if I recall properly. When I
replaced the bar I also saw that both ends were completely cracked. I don't know if this was from
smacking trees, crashing and/or my ODI clamps.I gave my bar to a friend after Easton came out with the DH version. I think they gave my friend an
option of a new (warranted) bar or $60 credit towards the DH bar.--
