  1. I rode Rabbit Mountain (eagle wind trail and little thompson
overlook) today. I haven't ridden eagle wind since last
year; I'd never ridden the other one at all.

I didn't know how much progress I've made till I rode this
trail. Parts that I remember as being miles-long lung-
busters turned out to be easy climbs. Not once did I have to
stop just to catch my breath -- something I remember doing
    constantly last year.

Oh, and my balance has improved, too. If I choose the wrong
line and come to a stop, I have a good chance of starting
again just by continuing to pedal. Last year, I would have
    tipped over instantly.

    It feels good =)

That's one of the benifits of riding the same trail
regularly. It acts as a sort of measuring tape, telling you
how much you've improved. I've shaved a once 95minute loop
down to just an hour in a few years.

Kinda fun to see what happens year to year, ain't it?

Good for you!!!!!!!! The next thing you'll be clearing stuff
that you had to get off and walk before.

That seems to be a "two steps forward, one step back" kind
of deal. There's a trend of progress, but lots of ups and
downs on a day to day basis.

    I didn't clear a lot of stuff yesterday, and I couldn't
remember having so much trouble before -- but then I
realized that last year, I didn't have the stamina to make
it up to some of these sections, so I never had to ride them
in the first place. Now I have to deal with them =)

Cool. Nice work! I still have that realization from time to
time (after mountain biking for 15 years) and I love it! It
will continue as long as you do.

    U GO GURL!

nice stuff, bill The mind serves properly as a window glass
rather than as a reflector, that is, the mind should give an
immediate view instead of an interpretation of the world.
