  1. Winter. I've been running the cross bike in freewheel mode, partly because it's easier to deal with
ice and partly because I've gotten weak enough that the 20-tooth on the rear seems like a good idea.
New Years' Day we sleep off the Perrier until noon and run the singlespeeds out on the country roads
east of Buffalo to welcome the fresh annum. Feels good. Feels right. Happy New Year. Damn straight.

Wheeler, I hope you're going singlespeed with that GRS unit. It's the True Way.

    That bad, huh?

We were out today. Fifty degrees in Buffalo in January! Amazing. I'm brewing up five gallons of pale
ale this afternoon. Life is good.

We had 46-ish in Jamestotwn, and managed to get in a quick tour of
the island. Perfect weather if it had been just a little bit drier.

72 here in Salida. I'm heading up to the Crest today before it snows in zzzzzzzzz

"Shawn..." "Shawn!" "Wake up. You fell asleep at the computer."

[censored]! It was a nice dream. 2 deg F and The Crest has about 48" of new snow on it. 3" in town. At
least the days are getting longer.

If I let a certain Northwesterner's comment about having 13" at home go, then why would I mess with
    poor Carla's condition?
