  1. Well today was the first really nice day this spring. I
haven't ridden in over a 16 months due to my own laziness, a
new baby (11 months) and a new job (high stress). I also got
a new bike too and it is the nicest one I have ever had. I
took a lot of time and effort to build it up but it hasn't
ever been a real trail. I got new riding clothes and a new
helmet. Man I was ready to have some fun.

So I get up early and drive to a new trail I have never been
too. The drive was an hour and a half and I was getting
    pumped, feeling young again etc..

I get there and the trail head is closed and there is a park
    ranger there turning people away.

All I had to do was look at the web site because it said it
was closed.... If I would have I could have gone to an open
    bike mtb park.

So I wasted 3 hours driving which blew my window of
opportunity to ride because of all the stuff needing to be
    done for the Holiday tomorrow.

Who knows how long it will be before the weather, family
time and work time will allow a day of riding.

    I am an idiot.

Well, if you do this twice you are. Treat it as a lesson and
    you'll be better off.

But your header said " I am a loser!". Which is it. IDIOT or
LOSER? lol. Hey [censored] happens. Obtw did you have your bike
with you? Then you may have been one of the above. Looks
like your not the only one that wanted to go biking there.

You're a loser/idiot for not finding another trail in the
same area. When I ride 1.5 hours to a trail, it's usually
because the world isn't flat anymore and there are several
areas to choose from. You probably could have followed one
of the people beeing turned away. How long were you
planning to ride for? Even a one hour ride back home is
    better than no ride.

Not half as much of an idiot as those of us who didn't even
get THAT close to a trail yesterday <blush...>

I hope it is sooner than you think. Look at the bright side,
it' better than getting there, having the trail open and
forgetting your front wheel or something!

nice, bill The mind serves properly as a window glass rather
than as a reflector, that is, the mind should give an
immediate view instead of an interpretation of the world.
