That's the lovely thing about Wales, a place name of 10 letters and only
one vowel...

Last weekend myself, my brother Neil, and my mate Ben travelled to Wales
to ride the fantastic Whites Level Trail at Glyncorrwg. It's a trail that
we've ridden numerous times before, but it's so good that it's worth going
back to again and again.

In the UK, the Forestry Commission are currently doing loads of work to
build mountain bike trails on their land and provide facilities such as
bike washes, bike shops, cafes, etc. They could have screwed this up
massively, but they worked with mountain bikers to produce challenging,
technical trails.

Whites Level Trail is one of these trails. It's pretty short at only 18k,
but it's packed with some of the best riding I've ever come across. It
starts with a 6k rocky, hair-pinned, singletrack climb. The rest is a
mixture of tight singletrack, rock drops, cliff traverses, berms,
steps, etc.

We did a couple of laps, the second of which we took in the new July
section of trail which includes tabletops, berms and steep chutes. Grins
all round.

Nice RR:

I got to ride, forgive me if this isn't close, Cwncrrm (no vowells) in South
Central Wales two years ago. It was pouring rain during my ride (not before
or after) but the trail was well designed, drained well and the bike didn't
damage the trail at all. I wish I would have had more time to explore but
it was only a week and I tried to see as much of Souther Brittain as I
could.

I'd like to go back with my own bike.....where the brake levers aren't bass
ackwards!

Yep I know what you mean, the best sections are too good to stop for.
Still a good excuse to go back and ride them again.
