BTW: There are snow drifts still up at Marlette lake and the Flume trail as
of 10 June. I hope it is dry soon!

The Southern Sierras are good to go below 10,000ft.

Yeah, just found out we're good to go as of last Sat. here too. Time to

This talk about Sweden becoming "oil-free" is rubbish. Sweden has not
commited itself to any such policy: though of course there is an increasing
awareness that oil is going to become more scarce and expensive and that is
has to be phased out. It is going to happen the next couple of decades in
Europe and in the US.

Thanks, the amazing thing is that the trail head, Hellas, is 10 minutes by
bike from central Stockholm. I am not usually nationlistic, don´t wave flags
etc, but I wonder if there is any other capital in the world with such good
singletrack so close? The Gary Fisher rode there once and thought Hellas
belonged to the 20 percent best singletrack in the world.

Nice photos! I'm starting to really look forward to the single speed worlds
now, will you be attending?
Do you have any inside info on the trails they'll be using? All I know is
that they're close to the 'street' venue and will be 'technical' so bring a
smallish gear. Being on a fixie means the gears gotta be right for going up
and down...
I'll be packing a freewheel as well so a more relaxing trip to Hellas will
be on the cards.

I think it will be in Hellas which is an area with amazing singletrack in
southern Stockholm.

people who hang out there will only be pleased for posts in English. Alot of
them ride in Hellas.

Thanks for that. I think the thing that threw me about the trail location
was that we meet at street and ride to the race. For some reason I thought
Hellas was further away.
I'm finding it pretty hard to remember all the Swedish place names, I can
barely pronounce them reading off the screen :-)
