time to come out of hiding for a while...
been doing a lot of riding of late but last w/e was an easy trip, a stag w/e in Brecon based around
a ride on the Saturday.
Weather was stunning, clear autumn day with the wind having dropped. An early start meant about 1030
due to the usual issues with groups and mechanicals.
The lanes above Brecon were just cut so thorns in the road meant a quick stop for seven punctures on
eight bikes. After Tal-y-Bont the climb sorted them out with a few struggling I got a chance to grab
a few pics. The descent off the other side didn't excite me, looked long and fat on the map but
nothing really to get you going.
The return through the gap was delyaed by one of the group lending his pump to moto-crosser
(f**king what?!) but the roman road had its moments and the rubbly descent off the other side
caused some spills.
The most risky element, a saturday night out in a welsh market town when England had just
beaten Turkey...
