I know the feeling. With me the bike was leaning against the wall, loosing air from the tires,
collecting dust, etc. Every once in a while I'd go by and squeeze the brake levers, just to let it
know I was thinking of it.

and it was fantastic. The fitness has dropped but the smile returned.
My first ride, after more than a year off, was on a sucky little gravel path. I tell ya it almost
brought tears to my eyes to be back on the bike. The bike musta sensed what I'd been recouperating
from, as it's behaviour was perfect. Not like the other times when I'd neglected it, when it tried
to throw me off.
Nope, we just picked up right where we left on and had a great season of riding. I don't know if a
bike can be full of glee for being back out on the trails, but I sure was.
Here's hoping you get well soon!!
