Hopefully it won't be too cold. We've got another storm coming for tomorrow.
Well the forecast calls for temps of -13 with a windchill so that will make it much colder then it actualy is.
I cannot wait until spring arrives. These cold temps are pushing my electric heat bill higher and higher every month. Between that and my rent, the gas for the water heater, the telephone and the cable bill (basic service), the rental rates for the water heater and my youngest son's buspass each month so he can get to a school he NEEDS to go to we are lucky to eat every month .....nevermind spending any money on frivolous things. Spring cannot come fast enough for me.
"good Eats" show did a segment on tea- any tea is better loose. I tried the Twining brand- expensive but the better choice I thought in the grocery store- It was labeled as a new product so maybe a trendy item? I'll get some loose when I can find it.
I though the Good Eats show was good. My only complaint about Alton Brown is that sometimes he's kind of uppity -- he tries not to be, but he really goes to some nice (read "expensive"😉 stores. The tea store he was in, for instance, was one of the nicest stores I've ever seen, and it just sold tea. Where does one even find a store like that?
We have a few of them in Calgary and the one I mentioned in a previous post is in a very high-rent building in the middle of the downtown core. I always wondered how a store with such a limited specialty could possibly stay in business, but maybe there are a lot more tea drinkers than I think. :-)

There's one in New Haven that opened recently.
