So what? The pages you were giving the URLs to were in
Dutch.Just as American does not equal English, the fact that
two adjectives of geographical attribution are unequal has
nothing to do with defining language use (assuming that that
is your point). See the first paragraph of article 4 of the
Belgian constitution.

I agree, and would like to point out that Flemish TV always
calls the language they speak 'dutch', not 'flemish'. I'm
not sure if there is an official separate flemish language,
like there is frisian, but I think the difference is more
like dutch vs. twentish - officially not separate languages,
but difficult to speak and understand anyway. I suspect
flemish is a dialect of dutch, or rather a group of
dialects, and would also be surprised if flemish is written
differently from ABN dutch.

In fact, while american english and english have
different spellings, I don't think there is a different
spelling in Flanders. They might say 'wentelwiek' to what
we call a helicopter, but there's no doubt about how to
spell these words.
