    Everyone,
    I am in a design class trying to come up with a stabilization device for roller trainers. If anyone could just answer these few questions, it would really help me out a ton. Thanks!

    How often have do you lose your balance on the rollers during one use?

    None 1-2 3-4 5-6 more than six

    How many times have you been injured using the rollers?

    None 1-2 3-4 5-6 more than six

    Would you be interested in a stabilization device that would help support the bike, but could be adjusted to allow some movement?

    Yes No

    How much would you be willing to spend on such a device?

    $50-$75 $76-$100 $101-$125 $126-$150

    Where would be the best location on the bike to clamp for stabilization?

    If I wanted a clamp, I'd ride a trainer rather than rollers.

    FYI, I have been using rollers for about 2 weeks now. I've learned to use them in a doorway like many people have suggested. I am finally feeling confident enough to leave the doorway but I don't have a large enough space in my apartment to do so.

    How often have do you lose your balance on the rollers during one use?

    Average zero to one time per session. Usually towards the end when I'm tired and not paying attention as much.

    How many times have you been injured using the rollers?

    None

    Would you be interested in a stabilization device that would help support the bike, but could be adjusted to allow some movement?

    No, I bought rollers because they only touch the tires just like on the road.

    How much would you be willing to spend on such a device?

    $76-$100

    Where would be the best location on the bike to clamp for stabilization?

    I don't want anything clamping to the bike but I might use hand railings to grab or prevent the bike from breaking things like the glass coffee table if I do fall.

    Kreiter sells what your describing, you attach it to the rollers pull off your front tire and hook your forks up to it.

    If there was a device where you could adjust the stabiliztion to the point where it would not restrict your movement, only protect you from falling, would you be interested?

    Do you think such a device would be beneficial to those just beginning to ride on rollers?

    Would you use a such a device as a safety option if you are an experienced rider?

    i ahve seen these, £65 for rollers with stabalizer, they clip onto the handle bar the bike still sits on the rollers aas normal but doesn't fall side to side, i guess it must offer a little stability but not totally or you would only beable to use that set of rollers.

    Please excuse me if I don't understand your point, but how is this different from riding rollers is in a doorway?

    probably no difference, but if you check my previous, the link has a picture, complete with stabalizer, just a band around the headset for stability.
