I just had my mits on a new Pike Team. I have to say that I was impressed. I have been in the Bomberhood for a while. (Z3, JR T, DJ 2, EXR, and A Z-1 at one time) The performance, and features are on par, or above what some of what Marzzochi is doing. Their QR 20 is simple, and easy to dis-assemble. I bounced around on the sidewalk a bit. (lets call it the curb hop test) Not a trail ride. But I noticed decent perfomance. It is about 150 bucks cheaper than the equivilant bomber. It'll be interesting to see how it lasts.

Uuuuummmmmmm,,,, Yeah. That's a pretty loaded question. Truth be told. I was playing with someone elses. Waiting for the durability monkey to shine before I buy.

It's not the structural failure I am worried about. Its the internals. How often do they NEED to be serviced. Bombers run good, last long time. We'll see if the RS holds up. I like the QR 20 axle setup.

anyone heard of a RS "reba"? I've been nosing around for a new front shock to replace my sid race, and one lbs was really raving about it...????

The Pike, and Reba are the RS new models. The reba is the XC oriented model. I did not get a chance to mess with that one. They look nice though. The "Salesman" said they a good fork. (Taken with a grain of salt)

it'll be much stiffer (laterally) than the sid. do you have disc? the reba's are disc only, that i've seen.
I know a few salespersons that don't even ride and when you offer, their oh I'm bussy. These some folk will rec this and that what do they do read and listen to reps.
