  1. Hello, All!

I was thinking that roasted asparagus might go well with dinner
so I checked methods on the net. Surprisingly, temperatures from
350F to 500F were suggested with the same time of 10-12 minutes.
Has anyone the experience to suggest a temperature or should I
    just do it by inspection?

  2. yes, we love asparagus around here, either done on the grill with the main
course, or BAKED in a 425 oven.
use a cookie sheet with sides, pour in some olive oil, and any and all
    spices you like.
roll the asparagus in the oil, throw in the oven and keep it there for ten
    minutes.
    ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!
    (and soooooooooooooooo easy)

Even better with some good Parmesan cheese on top of them.

I roast it with butter, lemon and parmesan. That's tasty, too!

Last time I cooked asparagus, I did 'em on the grill. Very hot. They

I roll them in EVOO, sprinkle some chopped fresh garlic over and throw
them in a hot oven.... at least 400°. I don't time, I do it by look -
    don't over cook them!

That sounds about right for asparagus. I have been doing mine on the bbq
grill lately. I just rub it with a bit of oil and grill them on direct
heat and turn them every minute or so and they cook in 3-4 minutes.

Takes your asparagus drizzle with oil and toss with coarse salt (more
than you think you need), (make it look like a salted pretzel). Throw it
on a HOT grill 1 layer thick (across the bars so it won't fall thru).
After about 20 seconds start turning the asparagus spears a 1/4 turn at
a time. It is done as soon as there are grill marks...takes less than 5
    minutes for a lb.

Nothing else is needed...best asparagus I've ever eaten.

We've been grilling asparagus prepared in the same fashion as above over a
grill in one of those perforated woks designed for grills. Have also had
great success grilling broccoli, green beans and cauliflower in the same
fashion. Beats any indoor preparation I've ever had. Everything stays very
    crunchy.

425F for 10 minutes is a good place to start, but it depends on the
size of the asparagus and their tenderness. And the level of crunch
    that you prefer.
