Anybody try these? Just got a set and can't believe the tire/price ratio. These are outstanding and
at 19 bucks a shot, a steal compared to some tires I've bought for 10 dollars more. Wondering how
they hold up, anybody had experience with them?

using a Continental Ultra 2000, which is holding up much better. -

useful life dropped off a lot. (as did the max inflation)... That being said I still use them on my
commuter bike... riding in the city I find that my tires usually get sliced up from broken glass
long before they wear out... and the price is good.If you always remember to Be true to your self ... Believe in your dreams ... And aim for the

lazy as you.(paraphrase of Terry Pratchet from WFM)

perfect size for city riding. They also seem to be puncture resistant. Here in NYC you can't always
dodge the glass on the streets, and so far in 5 months of riding, around 700 miles, no flats.

Panaracer manfuctures these now, any idea who made them 6 or 8 years ago? IMHO, still a great tire
for the money!"ajames54" <[email hidden]> wrote in message

around '92 they were made by National Tire in Japan the same people who made panaracer... some time
ago (around 2000-01) I bought a pair and noticed that the quality had dropped off (coarser caseing /
lower max air pressure) and found that they were being made by Cheng-Shin (the same people that make
Maxxis, and many low end knock off tires).I've got to go and check at my LBS if they are again made by national tire .. that would be great
news ... I loved the older ones, the Cheng Shin ones were OK but nothing special.
