  1. Ritalin is a bad drug, which is used to treat symptoms only.

It's far better, to determine exactly what's wrong & why, rather than
treat symptoms with a drug like Ritalin, which can do permanent damage &
harm, especially when taken over time.

Even with my having advanced cancer, I'd rather not be offered a cr-p
    drug like Ritalin.

While I understand that the govt & insurance companies (& the PHARMA
lobby), would rather force the worst medical care possible onto most
people, ... & force the worst symptom-type-only drugs on us (instead of
giving any quality care), ... it's still morally wrong.

People have the right to say NO to this, and to demand much better
    medical care.

As is the case with many other treatments. In some cases, the root causes of
the problems are known and treated, in others, when the root causes are
unknown, or there is no known treatment for them, then symptomatic treatment
is the best that can be offered.

For its use in fighting cancer fatigue, the risk/benefit comes down to
desire tofunction vs. some nebulous problems long term. As you prabably
know, there has never been a showing of long term problems in humans.

When it is the best choice possible, then you are stuck with it. What do you
    propose in lieu of it?

And, the conspiracy [censored] makes you sound like a loon.

What the heck are you talking about? What you've said makes no sense.

    #1 I'm not hyperactive.

#2 While Ritalin can probably do a lot of damage to your brain & body
(esp. when taken over time), I seriously doubt it can prevent cancer.
    It might even cause cancer.

Hmmm. If you've been taking Ritalin, then that might explain ...

You take Ritalin, don't you? And it shows.

Actually, the toxicology study showed that methyphenidate seems to have a
protectiver effect wrt to certain types of breat tumors in rodents. As for
the "a lot of damage" can you provide some details? With all of the
methyphenidate that has been prescribed over the past fifty years. one would
expect to see the damaged people all over the place.
