On the other hand, my step dad is 80. Drank very heavily
for 60 or more of those years and smoked the same.
He'll outlive me. I made a bet. And I'll win. I just won't
be able to collect.
I suppose the Powerbar guy had to sample his stuff too much
for quality control. Health food will catch up with you.
You know what they say. If you live too healthy, one day
you'll feel stupid dying in a hospital of - nothing.
In his case, he lived healthy and still died. What a slap
in the face. I'll go get a drink.

==========
How to tell a Power Bar from a Dog Turd
Power Bars cost $1.75. Dog turds are free.
Power Bars have shiny wrappers. Dog turds don't.
A fly will eat a dog turd. Have you ever seen a fly eat a
Power Bar?
Dog Turds get slippery when wet.
Power Bars come in five delicious (yeah - right!) flavors.
Dog turds only come in one.
Dog turds won't damage your lawn mower blade. The jury is
still out on Power Bars.
You won't find Power Bars all over your favorite
hiking trail.
Dog turds are made of naturally occurring substances.
Dog turds are biodegradable.
There was no Dog Turd International Women's Challenge
this year.
You don't have to go to Idaho to tour the Dog Turd Factory.
You can't use a dog turd as an emergency shoe resole.

Once during Prohibition I was forced to live for days on
nothing but food and water.

No, you're thinking of Herbalife, not Metabolife. Here's a
couple links about the death of the founder of Herbalife, at
age 44. Those herbs sure did him a lot of good!

Yep, Jim Fixx. But, his family had a long history of heart
problems, both his father and grandfather dying before the
age of 45. At least he made it to 52.
