ok I want to know who else feels this way, I was out riding by 5.20 am this morning and I dont know, I know it was cold, but without the rain, I just loved it this morning, crisp, cool, bit of head wind on the way back, but not too much... I just find these cold crisp mornings very revigorating, just something about them, that you dont get riding in warmer northern climates.

nothing! 🙂 guess my wife is right....I lived in Brisbane for 1.5 years and loved the weather, espiecally during winter, but I guess its living in Melbourne for so long, these mornings are sensational 🙂
you have to come down and try some, im sure the regular morning swimmers are out there every morning as well... now those people are freakazoids

I have to admit, I'm getting more used to the "cold" in Brisbane. Riding
through the fog at Rocklea is lovely. Although Guido (Abby) might look
like a gorilla.Tam

And yes - that cruise through the fog just after the Rocklea Markets
along Sherwood Rd is my favourite part of the ride...Abby (not Guido - Abby...)

How cold was Melbourne this morning? BOM says 5 degrees. It was 7
degrees up here is Brisso this am which is chilly for us but a beautiful day.
Arm & leg warmers, full finger gloves and it was ok except my shoes have
a big vent that lets in the cold. BOM says melbourne was 5 degrees this
morning that about right? From the news it sounds like it's been heaps
colder in the regional areas though! -

adam85I hope you had a windvest and earwarmers too! As for the cold feet - my
shoes do that too. Get socks, cut a hole for your cleat, wear 'em over
the top. If you're really cool, get Broncos socks so you can pay out on
Tony Melcer's Broncos Cycling Team next time you visit Murarrie!Tam

jersey, polyester-faced wool arm warmers and long finger (windstopper)
gloves. Beautiful morning for riding! -
Gotta love those cold mornings. Best time to ride. Only thing that beats it is waking up at dawn while touring to go riding through the mist in a national park 🙂.
Or tearing along the singletrack down by the yarra... that's another good cold-morning activity 🙂.

That's only for those soft southerners! Or maybe I've just got more bodyfat 🙂 I've got some cheap netti neoprene booties but I didn't think to put them on. Actually I *was* at Murrarrie - doing intervals. I think that kept me warm! btw Bronco's are merging with Victors.
