  1. Highlight of my month was my 4 year old daughter resigning her stabilisers to the dustbin, how proud did I feel on her first solo ride. Thought great I can get rid of that trailgater off the back of the bike for good, weighs a bit you know. My afternoons have changed for the best, no more afternoon Telly as it's dad let's go out on our bikes.

Out yesterday, she did great uphill and downhill no problem, so as a treat we cycled to the local shop where she got some sweets and off we headed home. Got 100 ft down the road when the little monster stopped dead in front of me for a cola bottle, weren't going fast so stopped no problem just wished I'd thought about taking my feet out the clips, you know what happened next, over I went. Thought ok no one saw that but us two stood up the little sh-- is rolling about the ground in knots and worse just about everyone in the street is out and about so no hiding for me.

Of course you know what she did when we got home, special presentation for dad, " you take these dad you look like you still need them", the stabilisers recovered from the bin.

  2. i like your daughters way of thinking. good feel good story for everyone here even if not so much so for your own pride. hehe!

thanks for putting that out there, put a much needed smile on my face.

  3. Smart daughter! It's never too soon for kids to learn to laugh at someone else's mistakes!

  4. great story. i'm still teaching my little girl how to ride 2 wheel. killer on the back i tell you. i'll have to remember to ride slightly to the side and behind when it comes time for us to ride together..

  5. Funny story...sounds like you have a smart little girl there!
