Rides around Estes Park?

Do you know of anything I could ride right from EP? I won't have my own
car there, so I'll need to do it all from my bike or hitch rides from
someone. The problem for the last one besides being reliant on others is
that often my window to ride may come up suddenly and I may have to just
go then or miss my shot.

Let me do some checking. I did see some info recently about riding in
Estes.

I found these in a "Biking Colorado's Front Range" guide:

In Estes Park, there's the "round the lake" == boring but had to be
said.
In the park, you can ride up Fall River Road (dirt) then come back into
Estes on Trail Ridge Road. (note: NPS employees normally start
working at 07:00 so if you're early and no one's there to take the
entrance fee....)
Crosier Mountain Trail outside Glen Haven (about 9 miles from Estes)
House Rock - ATV & 4WD Forest Service Road.
Pole Hill Road ATV & 4WD FS Fire Road (112)
Pierson Park Road ATV & 4WD
Lily Mountain
Johnny Park

Yes, trails in the park are closed. There are some great trails in
the immediate area though and maps can be found at local outfitters.

There's an Estes thread at MTBR right now and this post sounds like
it's right up your alley.

Winter Park is right down the road....
it doesn't get much better.

What road are you talking about, Trail Ridge? There's an awful lot of
granite between Estes and Winter Park.
