agree that i at least especially love the descent after a hard climb.
yet more and more i run into riders who shuttlecock up the mountain
with a truck and bomb down, never earning the descent. i was at pisgah
this past february and came down after a particularly grueling 2 hour
climb to find five pre-pubes loading their pick-up truck for another
run. at first i kind of though they were cheating, and i suppose i
still think that in a way, but they seemed to be having a great time
and so i eventually came around to just being happy for them. it
happens everywhere i ride. in maryland between cotoctin and gambrill
there's a [censored] of a climb called "coxey brown" and it is a punishing 9
percent grade for 2 miles on road between trails. mtbers are never on
it - they get a ride up so. it sucks when you're climbing and are
passed by a truck full of bikes, but then your own descents are that
much more satisfying afterwards i think.

Cool. Nice photos, but too bad that HP site makes them so small!
Hartman's is hard to capture in a photo and make it look half as nice as
it is in person. It needs a wide angle lens in a lot of cases.

There's an option on the lower right hand portion of the picture page that
allows for original size or full screen mode once you've selected an
idividual photo. One of these days I'll figure out how to use my alotted
web space.........

Now it's working but the pictures are so tiny but very pretty (Mmmmm...
Aspens). Then it wants to install software on my computer to download
the bigger picture, I presume. I gotta set you up with a gallery on one
of my Websites.
