Hey there all. Well I'm back to work, off the meds and ready for continuing
where I left off.
I've discovered that my sugar cravings are gone along with the pain meds.
What a relief. I didn't understand why I was having those cravings as sugar
was never difficult for me to pass up. It was always the bread, pasta,
potatoes. If I needed comfort from food it was mashed potatoes covered with
creamed corn that called to me.
So I think I can get a handle on it all but not without struggle. I did
learn that planning is everything for me. If I go to work without having
planned my day's meals (and brought them along) I'll screw up for that day.
So I'm not going back on Atkings per se, or any other specific diet other
than low carb. I've done a lot of thinking and more reading and I'm
convinced that lc is the answer to weight management for me. I'm not looking
for huge losses in a short time anymore. If I lose 2 pounds a week, I'll be
happy. I think with a reasonable goal, I will achieve long term weight loss
and not be disappointed.
I've also decided to include in my stats, my highest weight as my starting
point. It was the starting point for this journey and I think it will do me
good to see that everytime I post. I don't want to deny my accomplishments.
(Thank you Doug Freyburger)
Thanks for listening.
