Reevu Bicycle Helmet

No, but I want one. This looks cool. I am addicted to eyeglass mirrors, and I hate messing with them
- I'd love to just put on my helmet and glasses without mucking with the mirror.

No personal experience - but some say it wont work for very laid back bikes. You will probably have
to tilt your head a bit forward to see properly. Designed for DF's.

This helmet is available in England at £50, one place which sells them is this bike shop in Glasgow :- www.kinetics.org.uk

Ron at Whytoole bought one, I think it was £60 including all shipping costs and it was delivered within 6 days!

It may be worth contacting him regards a review, but I thought I saw a review of this helmet on one of these forums just last week.

I have had one for some months. They are obviously designed & tested only for use by DF riders who
believe that handlebars should be at least 1' lower than saddle!

On my Challange Hurricane, which I have setup with the seat as upright as it will go, I can pull the
peakof the reevu helmet down over my eyes - which lets me see into the mirror system (just looking
'up' at the mirror does not work) - and then I can see the back of my bike and about 8' of road
surface. If I tuck my chin into my chest I a really good view of what's behind
me.Unfortunately I cannot then see where I'm going.

I'm sure that a campaign of emails to reevu could produce a version for people who do not normally
ride with their heads down, but the system is definitely not designed to be adjustable.There is a
small strip mirror that you look into, and that 'sees' via 2 very extended mirror surfaces
'wrapping' over the head. It is the angle of these 2 mirrors that weould have to be adjusted to make
a damn good design actually work for normal cyclists!

I bought one last year from them cause I just had to have one and as much as I wanted it to work out
it just was right for my laid back position riding my HHR. It was made well and looked good but the
position of the mirror was not right for me. I would recommend you try one on before sending in your
money. The folks at Kinetics were very nice and I sent my helmet back for a refund but It cost a
pile of change for shipping. On till they make some changes I stay with my Third Eye mirror. Regards

CNN Anchorman Jack Cafferty Sued Cafferty Knocked Bicyclist Down With Car

NEW YORK -- CNN anchorman Jack Cafferty is being sued for $10 million.

A bicyclist has filed the suit against Cafferty, accusing him of leaving the scene of an
accident. The lawsuit contends Cafferty was "reckless and grossly negligent" when he knocked
Billy Maldonado off his bike with his Cadillac on May 14 and drove away.

A call to Cafferty's attorney was not immediately returned.

Earlier this month, Cafferty pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident and was ordered
to a pay a $250 fine and perform 70 hours of community service.

Maldonado had told police he was slightly injured. His suit called the injuries serious.

Good for him. Though he's probably just going for the money...

I agree that the helmet works better if you are riding a DF, but I have found this helmet works just
fine on my Vision r40 and r50 Recumbents.

I don't try to look out the rear view for long periods of time I just bob my head down to take a
peek at whats going on behind me, this tactic works great and I don't have any problems seeing
what's in front of me while looking at the rear.

I have no regrets buying this helmet

Do you live here in the US and if so, who did you order this helmet from? I mainly ride bents with a
fairly upright seating position so maybe there won't be an issue with the mirror angle or at least
not as severe as a more laid back seat. I have to look slightly downward to look into my Mountain
Mirricle anyway. And no, my bike is not a USS; it is OSS but the bar ends tilt downward and this
lowers it (mirror) from my field of view.

I have communicated with Joshua At Reevu a few times in the last six months and I know they are
trying to get someone to distribute these helmets in the USA. They seem to be meeting alot alot of
resistance

Joshua has said he would notify me when this happens.
