I have Specialised Sonoma, 50 squid. Hybrid between pure
roadie (in which you can't walk normally) and Mountain bike
styles (too chunky).

Thanks for your suggestion. I have had a look around for reviews of this shoe and have seen nothing but praise. I have now ordered a pair!

So you didn't see all the other threads on shoes saying
you really should try things on in person against
alternatives to see if they fit your particular feet
properly? That's a shame...

If they don't fit your feet really well send them back. If
you lose a little money on postage, well, that's better than
shoes that don't fit you as well as they might.

Just been out for a spin to try the new shoes out, and they are fab. Can't believe i have made do with ordinary trainers for cycling for so long!

:-) Glad to hear you're pleased with them. Are you using
toeclips/cleats with them, or just (like me) normal pedals?

Told you they were worth it, even just for normal pedals...
made a HUGE difference to me too (distance I could go,
comfort while doing it, etc)

Velvet

I'm just like you Velvet. I use normal pedals. It's the only bike i have and i need it for work as well as pleasure, so it was a bit impractible for me to use anything else. Also when i do ride for leisure, i do want to get off and walk! These shoes, although firmer soled, offer me the chance to walk as well. Thanks for you help. Ian
