Good topic Clyde, and in some of my searches, I myself have
seen very little in this area of repro Decal/stickers. Heck,
it's hard enough just getting new ones!
I'm surprised that someone hasn't taken up the task of
making repro Decals, at least for a few of the more popular
famous bikes.
Bikes such as Schwinn (Paramount) The ole Schwinn
Stingrays,, Colnago's, Masi's, Guerciotti's Gitane's,
Motbecane's, etc. etc.
In my opinion, paint jobs are the easy part of a
restoration.
I'm sure there could be a market for these too.
I know that like in the drum Community, there are folks who
make repro Badges, Bass Drum Head Logos, Vintage looking
wraps etc. Mark

Quoted message said:Anyone have any tips on how to recreate old decals. My
friend is in the final stages of restoring a Teledyne to
original hyper-trick condition (found the Campy SG
seatpost I asked about earlier). We have the brochure and
ad (downloaded from a web site) so there is at least
something to work from.
Of course, if there is an actual source for such decals,
that would be even better.
