Recommend *good* mp3/fm player for running?

Been there, done that - and gave up on the radio - bought an iPod, now I can run for days and never
hear the same song twice. Now if I could just afford to do that Forrest Gump thing.

Sonic just filed for bankruptcy and their track record for service tells me why.

Get the best mp3 player that is waterproof and then take the extra and buy a Sony sports radio, not
a perfect world but at least you will have the unit you want when you want it.

Don't know about the radio (lawks, do you really want to listen to some disc monkey yabbering away
while you run? And ads? Not me squire) but I was given a Nike PSA128 mp3 player for my birthday and
it's the donkey's chobber. I have ditched the rather stupid armband (I use a very light cloth money
belt that keeps the thing snug and I'm not aware that it's there) and I also replaced the in-ear
phones with the Nike PSA over-ear ones, and it is wonderful. The only critisicm I have is the
bundled mp3 ripping software, which is a cut-down version of musicmatch JUKEBOX complete with nag
screen when you exit. Yeeuch.

Yeah, that software blows. I found out that you can use Windows Media Player 9 with the psa128, and
while it is not ideal, it is better than musicmatch.

I finally found the best I've ever seen- the IRiver. Very small- about the size of a penlight
flashlight or so. Excellent FM- better than many car radios. 128 meg mp3 player with FM ran me $140
at Best Buy. Oh, and it records voice or from the radio. Tons of menu options. And it actually comes
with good earphones so there's no need to go back out and buy better ones.

I had actually heard a similar review from someone else - they said pretty much the same thing. The
only hold-back I have is the absence of any sort of expandable storage slot ( ie, SSD, Smart Media
). Do you find the 128MB meets your needs?

Absolutely- I use the windows media format and have 31 songs on right now. With radio as well,
that's more than enough for me.
